Matching your home with an installer
One rule sits under everything here: your details go to an installer only after you've agreed to that installer by name.
How are installers chosen for your postcode?
Borough first, then the details.

- 4Whether they can take it onEach installer tells us how many requests they can take on.
If we can't cover your area straight away, your request waits with us and nothing is passed on. We'll let you know as soon as we can.
What will we ask of partner installers?
Before any installer receives a request through us, we'll ask to see:
- Certification for the work they do, for example MCS for solar panels and batteries
- Current public liability insurance
- An insurance-backed warranty on their workmanship
- Written, itemised quotes for every homeowner
- That they handle the network paperwork with Electricity North West
- That they agree to stop contacting anyone who asks them to
What it costs you
Nothing. Asking us is free and there's no obligation. You only pay the installer you choose, for work you agree to.
What will we never do with your details?
- Pass them to an installer you haven't agreed to by name
- Sell them, or add them to a list that's sold on
- Send you marketing emails you haven't asked for
- Keep chasing you once you've said no
Will I get more than one quote?
That depends on how many installers we work with in your borough. We'll tell you who's available. You can always ask other installers yourself too.
Can I say no to the installer you suggest?
Yes. Saying no is fine and nothing is shared. If we have another installer for your area, we'll tell you who they are.
Do you check the installer's work?
We don't inspect jobs ourselves. We'll ask you how the survey and install went, and we'll stop sending requests to any installer who doesn't treat people well.
