About us
Why we built this borough by borough
Greater Manchester's roofs are a patchwork. We built a site that starts with where you live, then puts you in touch with an installer who covers it.
Who is behind Manchester Home Solar?
We're a small, independent business that runs home and garden websites. We don't have a Manchester office and we don't install anything ourselves.
What we do is take your request, find an installer who covers your borough, tell you who they are, and pass your details on only if you agree. That's the whole job, and we try to do it well.
Why organise everything by borough?
Because a quote for a stone cottage in Delph and a quote for a hipped semi in Timperley are different jobs. The roof, the scaffold and the street all change.
Installers also tend to work in set areas. Starting with your borough means the people we suggest actually cover your street.
How will we keep installers honest?
- Checks before the first request: certification, insurance and a workmanship warranty
- Your say first: no installer gets your details unless you've agreed to them by name
- Feedback after: we'll ask you how the survey and the install went
- Consequences: an installer who doesn't treat people well stops getting requests
