Greater Manchester is ten boroughs, and their roofs are not the same. Hipped semis in Sale, stone slates in Saddleworth, long terraces in Leigh. Pick yours to see what's typical there and to start a quote request for that borough.
Which borough hub should you use?
Use the borough your council tax goes to. Tap a tile to jump to its panel: the towns it covers, the roofs you'll see, its postcodes and how to ask for quotes there.
Every borough is taking requests now. Pick yours below to see what's typical there.
Long runs of slate-roofed terraces in Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley, and plenty of newer estate homes around Standish with simple, uncluttered roof slopes.
Good to know
Newer estate roofs are often one clean slope with no chimney, which makes panel layouts straightforward.

Victorian and Edwardian terraces with back outriggers in Chorlton, Levenshulme and Withington, 1930s semis in Burnage, and Wythenshawe's garden-city homes.
Good to know
Wythenshawe's garden-city layout gives many homes generous gaps between houses and open, unhurried roof slopes.

Postcodes don't follow borough lines exactly. M16 covers parts of both Trafford and Manchester, for example, and some SK postcodes cross into Cheshire or Derbyshire.
Pick the borough you pay council tax to. If you're not sure, choose Not sure on the form and give us your full postcode. We'll work it out from there.
Do you cover places just outside Greater Manchester?
Not yet. Places like Warrington, Glossop or Poynton sit outside the ten boroughs. You can still send a request and we'll hold it until we can cover your area.
Who is the electricity network operator for my borough?
Electricity North West, for all ten boroughs. Your installer deals with them about connecting a rooftop system.
